Town Barton is a beautiful holiday home on Dartmoor, Devon. Nestled in Manaton, a pretty village on the south east slopes of the National Park. The house was built in 1833 as part of Lord Hambleden’s estate and sits in the heart of the village next to the cricket pitch, green and church. Now a very well-appointed and comfortable holiday home, it enjoys a southerly aspect, with the two principal bedrooms looking across the unspoiled countryside to Haytor.
From the house there is direct access to the open moor with Bowerman’s Nose only a 20-minute walk away. A trip to Haytor combined with a pub lunch makes an excellent circular walk of 6 miles. We might be biased but we think Town Barton is the perfect location for a holiday home on Dartmoor, Devon.
